Annette van’t Spyker is Vice President of Human Resources, AppsNA at Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. Annette’s HR portfolio includes 16,000 Applications Management employees across Canada, India and the US. As a result of a significant merger last year, Capgemini has committed tremendous energy and focus on cultural integration and positive employee engagement across the geographies. Annette is leading a cross cultural HR team to establish aligned HR processes and expand existing best practices to develop talent across the countries. Her goal is to create an organization that deeply values Diversity of Thought and supports leaders at all levels as they journey towards this.
Annette has had an eclectic career path, working for organizations of varying sizes across multiple industries including IT, health care, manufacturing and academia. Her work has taken her to many destinations where she has lived and worked, including the US, Canada, India, Europe and Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Public Administration from Carleton University, a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University and a Master of Laws, focusing on Employment and Labour Law, from Osgoode Hall Law School. She travels extensively, focusing on face-to-face engagement with employees and leaders that support her portfolio. Annette believes that if an organization can effectively tap into the motivations of its employees, recognizing them as distinct and unique to each other, the rest will fall into place.
