Margaret Zanel is Vice President of Strategy and Business Transformation at Xerox Canada, responsible for business strategy design and execution and business transformation and acquisition initiatives. She is also the senior leader responsible for Xerox Canada’s priority focus on continuously enhancing client experience.

A passionate advocate for change that enables top-line growth and business simplification, Margaret has 26 years of strategy, sales and marketing experience at enterprise- and start-up size firms in both Canada and the US.

Margaret has led Xerox Canada’s Strategy and Business Transformation group since 2011, and in recent years led the acquisition of Laser Networks, a leading managed print services company. She is currently shepherding the organization through an end-to-end implementation of Oracle – to transform the company’s front- and back-office business platform and processes.

In her prior role as Xerox Canada’s Vice President of Marketing, she was responsible for leading efforts to grow market and revenue share for the company’s technology and managed services offerings. Before that, Margaret was Vice President, Strategic Marketing for Navantis Inc., a systems integration firm, after serving as Vice President, Customer Operations and Channels at Mobile Computing Corporation, a leading wireless workforce automation application provider. She also spent six years working for California-based E-Assist, a multi-channel customer care technology start-up.

Margaret holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree, and an MBA in international business, from McMaster University. In 2010, she was recognized as one of the Top 100 under 50 by Diversity MBA Magazine. She is currently the executive champion for Xerox Canada’s United Way giving initiatives.

Margaret lives in Port Credit, Ontario with her husband and two children.
